Mulch & Compost Giveaway

City of Ventura residents are invited to sign-up for our quarterly mulch and compost giveaway. Registered participants are invited to pickup free mulch and compost products. Mulch and compost products are sourced from Agromin and purchased by the City of Ventura to giveaway to residents free of charge. Both mulch and compost are great additions to a home garden or residential landscape. Compost is a nutrient rich soil amendment, which helps improve soil health and supports plant growth. Mulch is used on the top layer of the soil to control weeds, retain moisture, regulate temperature, and make the garden bed look more attractive. Participants will be expected to bag their own mulch and compost products. Participants are expected to bring their own bag or container to collect their material. Limited shovels and gloves will be provided. Pre-registration is required. Spaces are limited.
