Community members are invited to join the Ventura Police Department for a Tip-A-Cop fundraiser at California Pizza Kitchen, located inside the Pacific View Mall at 3301 E. Main Street. This event will be hosted on December 14, 2022 from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
“Every dollar raised through this event will stay in our community and help fund training and events for Special Olympics athletes right here in Ventura County,” said Sergeant Ryan Reynosa. “It’s inspiring to meet local athletes and see them shine. We’re thankful for our partnership with CPK and look forward to another successful year!”
Tip-A-Cop is a law enforcement fundraising event in which Ventura police officers, accompanied by Special Olympics athletes, assist with waiting tables to collect “tip” donations for the Special Olympics.
Envelopes will be provided to dining residents upon checkout to give directly to the cause without impacting the income of the servers working that evening.
The Ventura County Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of sports for children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness and participate in a sharing of skills and friendships.
