The Final Draft 2020 Water Shortage Event Contingency Plan (WSECP) for the City of San Buenaventura will be considered for adoption by the City Council on April 26, 2021. The WSECP has been developed for implementation in accordance with the requirements of the California Urban Water Management Planning Act. The WSECP incorporates a comparison of supply and demand to evaluate whether a water shortage exists and includes six stages of action, both voluntary and mandatory, to reduce demand up to 50% during water shortage events. The Water Commission reviewed the WSECP and recommended approval to the City Council on March 30, 2021.
