Expanded Stage 2 Reopening

COVID-19 Business Updates Stage2 Newsflash

The County of Ventura is the first and largest Southern California County to receive approval from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to move forward with Expanded Stage 2 with Attestation. With this approval, Ventura County restaurants can now offer dine-in options and all retail businesses with exterior facing entrances are permitted to have customers inside of their stores. Additionally, hair salons and barbershops were recently approved to reopen with modifications. 

This is an important turning point for our community and local economy.

Register your Business to Reopen at www.VCReopens.comAll businesses must confirm the following:

  1. Begin by reviewing the guidance published by the State of California & the VC Health Officer order
  2. Upon reviewing the guidance, complete a detailed risk assessment of your business in accordance with the state guidelines
  3. Complete a written worksite-specific COVID-19 Prevention Plan and post it at your business
  4. Implement the prevention measures identified in your worksite-specific COVID-19 Prevention Plan
  5. Designate an on-duty employee responsible for monitoring compliance with your plan
  6. Complete the attestation form by visiting
  7. Upon completing your attestation, an official from your local jurisdiction may conduct a site visit
  8. Post the hotline flyer form at your business so that it is visible to customers and employees. (COVID-19 Hotline Flyer)
