Caltrans (California Department of Transportation) is beginning intermittent ramp and lane closures from Camarillo Springs Road to State Route 126 (SR-126) on U.S. Highway 101 in Ventura County as part of a $10 million pavement preservation project that was announced in August. Signs will be posted. Motorists can expect delays. Work is subject to change due to weather or construction-related issues.
The project includes asphalt resurfacing known as slurry seal on ramps and shoulders, installation of wrong-way retroreflective pavement markers and slab replacements on U.S. 101 lanes where needed in work zone. Completion is scheduled for fall 2024. General work hours are from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., excluding holidays. Closure hours vary within that timeframe.
