[ARCHIVED] Ventura Police brew up a coffee date at Simone’s Coffee & Tea

Community members are invited to join Ventura Police officers and professional staff for a Coffee with a Cop at Simone’s Coffee and Tea, located at 2848 Cabrillo Drive in Midtown. This event will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

“In an increasingly complex world, building connections with our community takes on unprecedented importance,” said Chief Darin Schindler. “Our goal is always to cultivate familiarity among residents and local businesses, increase trust in our officers, and share essential crime prevention and safety information.”

It’s not uncommon for community members to perceive officers as unapproachable or elusive in high-stress, critical situations. Coffee with a Cop dismantles those barriers, affording attendees a relaxed, one-on-one interaction with the Chief of Police and the officers who patrol Ventura’s neighborhoods.

This event is an open forum, where attendees can discuss concerns, ask questions, or enjoy a casual chat.
