Request for Qualifications - Call for Artists

The City of Ventura is excited to announce an opportunity for professional artists and artist teams to submit qualifications for integrating public art into the VenturaWaterPure Advanced Water Purification Facility project. Read the press release.

With approximately $1 million in specifically designated funds for public art in connection with Water and Wastewater projects, artists are invited to harness their creativity and contribute to a project that will have a lasting impact.  

About the Request for Qualifications

The City of Ventura, with support from Contemporary Arts Museum Houston (CAMH), is seeking artist qualifications for the design of integrated artworks at the VenturaWaterPure — Advanced Water Purification Facility (AWPF), a forthcoming water treatment facility in Ventura, California. 

VenturaWaterPure aims to create a platform for artist-led initiatives that celebrate the story of water recycling and highlight the ecological significance of new water resources while also incorporating an educational component to promote water recycling awareness.
