The City of Ventura offers a variety of tax-deductible donation and sponsorship opportunities to benefit our parks, historic properties, scholarship funds, or provide enriching programs for the entire community. Every donation, no matter the size, truly does make a difference and will help strengthen and improve our community.

If you would like to make a donation, download the Donor Contribution Form (PDF), select the program you would like to sponsor below and include the name of the program in the memo section of your check, print out the form and return it along with your donation.
Listed below are the areas where your donation will make a difference.
American Flags
Generous donors have made it possible to raise the Stars and Stripes above our streets in Ventura. The City works is partnership with local organizations to raise funds for the purchase, maintenance, and display of the American flag in our community. Aquatic Center
The Aquatic Center at the Ventura Community Park, located at the corner of Kimball and Telephone Roads provides multiple water-based activities including competitive swimming, lifeguard training, swim lessons, and family programs for the entire community. Donations will help fund the ongoing maintenance of this beautiful facility.
Aquatics Youth Scholarship Fund
This scholarship fund goes toward the fee for youth to participate in aquatic programs such as swim lessons, camps and novice teams; scholarships are limited to families whose income meets the criteria used to qualify for governmental household assistance programs.
Dog Parks
Ventura currently has two dog parks for our four-legged friends to enjoy.
Off-leash areas provide outdoor exercise for owners and their pets! A contribution offsets operation and maintenance costs and continues to provide running room for dogs to play and socialize.
Fire Prevention and Education
To keep Ventura safe, your contribution will be used to provide free Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training to our community on disaster preparedness and fire safety, and present lesson plans, firefighter demonstrations, and fire station tours to our local schools, clubs, and senior centers.
General Donation for City Events
The City of Ventura sponsors special events throughout the year that play a significant role in supporting community engagement. These events include: July 4th Parade & Street Fair, Music Under the Stars, Corporate Games, and Fairytale Festival in the Park.
Your generous contribution can assist in the cost of operating these events and ensure that they continue.
General Donation for City Parks
Make a donation to the City’s park system, which will be used for a variety of programs and general park purposes including maintenance. (Please note that donations of amenities and materials are accepted through the Parks and Recreation Commission. Read the City Council Resolution for acceptance of donated improvements and amenities for parks.)
Historic Properties
Ventura is home to a variety of historic properties. Your donation will help maintain and preserve historic structures like the Olivas and Ortega Adobes, and Albinger Museum.
Homeless Services
In Ventura County, on any given day, there are approximately 2,000 people without shelter. Donations to FOOD Share and the Ventura Homeless Prevention Fund will directly help the homeless in our community. Leo Robbins Sailing Center
The Leo Robbins Community Sailing Center, located in Marina Park, provides unique recreational, educational, and personal growth opportunities for youth and adults year-round. Your contribution will preserve this waterfront access.
Library Services
Ventura has two public libraries: E.P. Foster Library and the Avenue Library. Your generous donation will help assist in providing programs and services to meet the needs of our community. You can also donate books for future sales and make a tax-deductible donation through the San Buenaventura Friends of the Library.
Parks and Recreation
Your contribution to Parks and Recreation will ensure that enriching programs such as fine arts, health, fitness, sports, nature, history, travel and other programs are available for the entire community.
Parks, Recreation & Community Partnerships Enrichment Fund
Your donation helps build a scholarship fund that enables low-income Ventura residents to participate in City programs; scholarships given to adults and children.
Senior Services
Donations go specifically to fund senior programs and activities at the Senior Recreation Center.
Trees
Contributions made to this fund maintain our urban forest and benefit the City’s parks and community as a whole.
Ventura Community Partners Foundation
A new non-profit established to build community and enhance the livability of Ventura by developing and maintaining parks, recreation and cultural opportunities through partnerships and sustainable, diverse funding. Information available at Ventura Foundation Website.
Ventura Pier
The Ventura Pier is one of our most popular attractions and is maintained and preserved through generous donations on behalf of Pier Into The Future, a non-profit organization that funds repairs and enhancements so that future generations can enjoy this historic icon.
Ventura Police Community Foundation
The Ventura Police Community Foundation is a 501(c) 3 non-profit that supports and funds a variety of programs designed to strengthen the relationship between youth, the Ventura Police Department and residents. Programs supported by the Foundation include, the Program Enrichment for After School Kids (PEAK) Program, in collaboration with the Ventura Unified School District (VUSD), the City Parks, Recreation & Community Partnerships Department and the Ventura Police Department. The PEAK program is active on seven Ventura Unified School District (VUSD) campuses and serves nearly 500 children each day. Police officers and youth also interact at various community functions to help create strong bonds between youth and the police department. In addition, the Foundation provides community organizations and members an opportunity to make financial donations to support a variety local law enforcement functions. Ventura Police Department K-9 Unit
VPD was one of the first law enforcement agencies in Ventura County to use canines. The two most frequent uses are to locate fleeing suspects and to find illegal drugs. On average the annual cost for a canine is $10,000 - $15,000, with an additional $8,000 - $9,000 for training and certification, all of which is paid for through the generosity of the community donations and National Police Dog Foundation. The Foundation uses the money to purchase and train police dogs for law enforcement agencies throughout Ventura County. Volunteer Ventura!
Volunteers are essential in helping to provide quality services in our city. The Volunteer Ventura! program offers numerous opportunities to get involved and make a difference in our community. Your contribution will help with equipment such as gloves and rakes to continue this valuable work and keep our community clean.
Ventura Water
Ventura Water, an enterprise agency of the City of Ventura, has been serving the community 100% local drinking water since 1923 and water reclamation services for over a century. Donations are welcomed to support special events and other water awareness programs to promote sustainability and environmental protection.
