Ventura's Active Adult & Senior Services provides thousands of adults with recreational, specialty, social and health and fitness programs throughout Ventura, including the Ventura Avenue Adult Center (VAAC) located at 550 N Ventura Avenue.
Many activities are offered through the Parks, Recreation & Community Partnerships Department for our adult and senior population. To view a list of classes that are currently being offered view the City's MY Ventura Guide and register through the City's online registration portal or contact the Parks, Recreation & Community Partnerships Department at 805-658-4726, Monday- Friday, 8 am- 5 pm (closed alternate Fridays).

Various activities are available on a drop-in, no registration required basis at the Ventura Avenue Adult Center located at 550 N. Ventura Ave. They include:

Senior Nutrition Program
The City of Ventura Senior Nutrition Program (SNP) is made possible by a financial partnership between the City of Ventura, the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging (VCAAA) and the California Department of Aging (CDA).
The Senior Nutrition Program is comprised of two programs; the Westside & Eastside Cafe and the Home Delivered Meal Program (HDM).
Westside Café & Eastside Café
Join us Monday through Friday, 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, for the friendliest lunch hour in Ventura with a meal that includes a nutritious hot entrée, salad, and fresh fruit and vegetables. The suggested donation is $3 per meal for those 60 years and over and the fixed price is $6.75 for those under 60.

Home Delivered Meals Program (HDM)
The Home Delivered Meals Program (HDM) is designed for home-bound individuals 60 years and up who live in Ventura. For information on the HDM program, please contact the Ventura Avenue Adult Center at 805-648-3035 or Jill Smith, Senior Nutrition Program Assistant.
Facility Information & Rentals
The Ventura Avenue Adult Center, located at 550 N. Ventura Ave, is available to rent for business and non-profit meetings as well as private special event functions. The facility includes small, medium, and large meeting rooms in addition to a large banquet hall and patio. The maximum capacity is 150 guests.

ResourcesVentura Council for Seniors (VCS): The VCS is designated by the Ventura City Council as the representative organization representing seniors and senior related issues in Ventura. You are invited to participate in the VCS meetings held the 3rd Wed of each month from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Ventura Adult Continuing Education, 5200 Valentine Rd, Ventura.
