Adult Recreation programs are intended to promote small group/household practice opportunities and skill development while maintaining social distancing for adults and teenagers 16 years and older.”

The City of Ventura is happy to bring some fun activities to adults (16 years and older) designed to promote health and wellness while adhering to social distancing and group gathering guidelines. All of these opportunities are geared to encourage skill development for adults.

*FREE* Over the Line Batting Practice

Over the Line is an excellent opportunity to practice your softball skills and have some fun. In this game, there is an emphasis on hitting and catching. Teams are small, and games go fast! This program is great at maintaining social distance while also improving your mechanics for softball and getting in some exercise. For more information, check out the rule book below.

Come join us for some good old fashioned fun with this classic backyard favorite! Take this opportunity to practice your bag tossing skills in the park! Equipment provided. Grab a friend and work on skills to take yourself to the next level. Impress your friends the next time you have a chance to play against them.

Registration Information

Registration for all activities is online and over-the-phone only. No onsite registration or walk-in registration. Registration runs October 27 – October 30.

Participant Release

A completed and signed 2-page roster and waiver MUST BE submitted by the first day of the session before anyone on the team can participate in the program. Anyone under the age of 18 MUST have a completed youth release form attached to their waiver.
