General Information
The Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of fee-based sports leagues and activities for adults 18 and older. Get together with a group of friends or coworkers and join in the fun! Leagues and activities are scheduled year-round and include levels for beginner, intermediate, and tournament players. Games happen on weekdays after 6pm and on Sunday afternoons. Don’t miss out on the action!

Six-A-Side Soccer Leagues
Dust off your old cleats, make sure you stretch, and get back out onto the field. Each team will be scheduled to play eight games, and the top four teams in each division will make the playoffs, with sweet prizes for the champions! We can’t wait to see you out there!
Men’s, women's, and coed leagues are available year-round for beginning, intermediate, and advanced players!

Kickball Leagues
Looking to get out and get a kick with your friends? Join us as we bring back good old-fashioned kickball!
Get a group of friends together and get back out onto the field as you reclaim your grade school dominance of kickball! Your team will be scheduled to play eight games over four weeks, and then play in a single-elimination playoff in the fifth week to declare a champion! We can’t wait for you to join us!
All skill levels are welcome! Playing two games per night, this coed league has two sessions per season.

Adult Basketball Leagues
Time to get back out on the court and show what you've got. The city offers a wide variety of basketball leagues for all skill levels. Teams are guaranteed eight regular season games, with the top eight teams each night making the playoffs.
Year-round leagues are available for beginning, intermediate, and advanced players!

Pickleball Leagues
Looking for consistent play times? Our pickleball programs guarantee court times and quality opponents. Doubles teams with no gender restrictions play each week. Leagues run for four weeks. A single-elimination tournament is held at the end of the season to determine a champion.
A self-ranking of 3.5 or higher is required to participate. Each season offers two sessions.

Bocce Leagues
Looking for a more laid-back activity to do with the whole family? Sign up for bocce ball. We offer two sessions of Bocce Ball per season in the spring and summer. Leagues run for five weeks, with a championship round at the end of each session. This is a famous, easy-going lawn bowling game, great for less active groups or people looking to relax for an easy evening. We can’t wait for you to join us.

Drop-In Sports Programs
Are you looking for a friendly, leisurely, low-commitment sport you can do with your close friends and family? The City of Ventura offers drop-in sports programs for ultimate frisbee and grass volleyball at Camino Real Park.
Don’t have the time or energy to commit to a full season of a regular league? Don’t have the equipment needed to play a sport? No problem. Ultimate Frisbee and Grass Volleyball are participant-driven programs that anyone can join and play. For a small one-time fee, you can go to as many or as few nights as possible. Teams will be made up each day based on who shows up to play. You can play with your close friends or take the opportunity to make new friends. All skill levels are welcome! All the equipment is provided.
