California Street Off-Ramp Relocation Project

Solving Operational & Cosmetic Issues

The US 101 - California Street Off-ramp Relocation Project consists of extending the existing northbound off-ramp under California Street to Oak Street and reconstructing the existing bridge to solve operational and traffic/pedestrian safety issues as well as reconnecting the Downtown with the beachfront area.

Project Stage

The project is currently in the preliminary design and environmental review stage. The preparation of the environmental document is in progress.

In October 2014 and 2015 the City held a Project Scoping Meeting. View a copy of that presentation (PDF).
