The Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) adopted regulations defining the circumstances under which the receipt of tickets and passes by a public official must be disclosed by the City and the recipient public official. Section 18944.1 under Title 2, Division 6, of the California Code of Regulations was adopted by the FPPC on December 11, 2008.
The City Council adopted Resolution Number 2010-007 approving an event ticket and pass distribution policy pursuant to Section 18944.1, to ensure that all tickets and passes distributed by the City are issued in furtherance of the public purposes of the City. The policy is applicable to every officer, agent, and employee of the City who is obligated to file an Annual Statement of Economic Interests, Form 700. The policy applies to the City's distribution of tickets and passes for which no consideration of equal or greater value is provided by the public official.
Required Forms
FPPC Form 802 is required to be used by the City to disclose the distribution of tickets or passes that allow admission to facilities, events, shows, or performances for entertainment, amusement, recreational, or similar purposes. All forms are in Adobe Acrobat format.
