In 2022, the City of Ventura proactively engaged a professional research firm to conduct a community survey to provide the City with a statistically reliable understanding of its residents’ satisfaction, priorities, and concerns as they relate to services, facilities, and policies provided by the City. The results and analyses presented in the survey provide City Council and City staff with information when setting goals and prioritizing projects for the future.
The community survey was managed by True North Research Company, a firm specializing in the measurement of community satisfaction. It was administered in English and Spanish to a random sample of 1,070 adults who reside within the City of Ventura between April 29 and May 8, 2022. The survey followed a mixed-method design that employed multiple recruiting methods (email, text, and telephone) and multiple data collection methods (telephone and online).
