Parks & Rec Reopening Plans
As of Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 5:30 pm:
Summer Programs: we are partnering with local businesses and program providers to offer modified summer programming that meets State of California, County of Ventura, City of Ventura, and CDC guidelines. We will not be offering our traditional full-day camp programs. Instead, we will be focusing on partial day specialty programming such as STEAM, surfing, and dance. We are finalizing our program line-up and will be sharing it soon. Our modified summer programming is scheduled to begin in late July, sooner if feasible.
In the meantime, we've developed a virtual activities page filled with fun projects, programs, and resources for residents of all ages. We hope you enjoy it!
Ventura Aquatic Center: modified public lap swim opened Monday, June 29. Information on how to reserve a lane for public lap swim and new pool safety rules is available on the Aquatics Center webpage.
Links & Buenaventura Golf Courses: open as of Friday, April 24 with safe play protocols in place.
City Facility Rentals, Field Reservations & Special Event Permits: canceled through Monday, August 31.
Albinger Archeological Museum, Barranca Vista Center, Olivas Adobe, Ventura Avenue Adult Center & Westpark Community Center: closed until further notice.
We hope you have a safe 4th of July weekend! Take care, Your Parks & Recreation Team
