Emergency preparedness is the state of readiness to respond to both natural and man-made disasters, crises or any other type of emergency situation.
The City of Ventura's Emergency Services Manager, Dan Wall, is responsible for facilitating all Emergency Management programs and training for City Staff to be best prepared to serve the community as Disaster Service Workers during a disaster or crisis.
The Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) addresses the City's planned response to significant emergencies. The plan does not address day-to-day emergencies, but rather operational concepts reflected in this plan focus on large-scale disasters that exceed the City of Ventura's resources and require an emergency response.
The City of Ventura encourages you to prepare for the next emergency and take a proactive approach in personal preparedness! The City's Emergency Manager, Daniel Wall, will attend Neighborhood Community Council Meetings in September to share emergency preparedness information and answer any questions residents may have.
