General Plan Advisory Committee
Purpose
The General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) is a City Council-appointed advisory body composed of residents, business owners, educators, students, and other members of the Ventura community to assist with the General Plan Update effort.
The primary role of the GPAC is to provide insight to the project team on how to address key issues and understand sensitive community needs, review and provide comments on work products, and help to build community support for, and engagement with, the General Plan process. The GPAC is an advisory body and will not make decisions or take actions, but rather make recommendations to the project team and City Council on the General Plan Update. GPAC meetings are open to the public to observe, comment, and participate in activities.
