Since 2007 artists, students, schools, and community organizations have made neighborhood sidewalks and street corners a livelier experience for pedestrians thanks to their participation in the City of Ventura’s “Think Outside the Box” program. This program is a streetscape showcase for talented local artists and community members to transform designated street utility boxes into public works of art. View a list of artists along with a map of the utility boxes they have designed.
