The Ventura City Fire Department is the oldest fire department in Ventura County and one of the oldest departments in the State of California.
The Operations Divisions is comprised of six fire stations and strives to maintain an average response time of five minutes to emergencies within the City.
The Fire Prevention Division is responsible for developing and implementing programs and policies that prevent or reduce the magnitude of emergency occurrences.
