PEAK and ASES After-School Programs provide Ventura Unified School District elementary school students with a safe, educational, and enriching after-school program experience. Programs are located at 7 sites and serve an average of 600 students per school year. Activities include homework assistance, recreation, art and enrichment activities, field trips, and more.
Summer Day Camps are a fun way for kids to be active, engaged, and build positive relationships during the summer. Activities include group games, swimming, sports, arts and crafts, and so much more! Available for kids ages 5-12, camp is an awesome way to spend the summer.
We offer classes for kids of all ages at our Community Centers and local studios. Classes are available year-round and provide opportunities for kids to learn new skills, be creative, and make friends. Select from a fun variety of classes such as gymnastics, archery, soccer, music, dance, and more.
The Interpretive Outreach Program helps bring history to life through interactive educational programs for students in kindergarten thru 6th grade. Students learn about nature and California history through hands-on lessons taught in some of the City's coolest historical locations.
The Ventura Youth Basketball Association (VYBA), established over 64 years ago, offers a low cost, education and sportsmanship-oriented basketball league for Ventura's youth. VYBA focuses on educational skill development for youth in grades 2-8 with an emphasis on fun.
The Children’s Celebration of the Arts outreach program brings professional art educators into elementary school classrooms to lead hands-on cultural art workshops. Each year standards-based workshops are offered to highlight a variety of cultures, art forms, and artists from around the world.
The Youth Scholarship Program provides eligible families with the opportunity to enroll their children in City of Ventura sports, recreation, arts, and enrichment programs that encourage play, skill development, and good old fashioned fun!
