Administrative Hearing Officer

Purpose

The Administrative Hearing Officer makes decisions regarding a variety of land use and development applications as specified in the Municipal Code Zoning and Subdivision Regulations. Public hearings held by the Administrative Hearing Officer allow for public due process on the consideration of a variety of land use and zoning permit applications, which are typically for Variances, Coastal Development Permits, Use Permits, Lot Line Adjustments, Minor Subdivisions, and Planned Development Permits. The Administrative Hearing Officer’s decisions may be appealed to the Planning Commission.
