If we can't reach you, we can't alert you. Sign up for Ventura County's Emergency Notification System by visiting vcalert.org or by texting 'VCALERT' to 313131. This system allows public safety officials to provide essential information quickly when there is a threat to the health or safety of residents. 

You can also register to receive alerts for various locations throughout the County! Sign up to receive alerts for your home, work, schools, and other important locations.

Hi-Lo Warning System

Officer Christopher Aguilar introduces the Hi-Lo Warning System, installed on every Ventura Police patrol car, to be used as an alert during emergency evacuations. If you are close enough to hear the Hi-Lo Warning System, that's an indicator to evacuate immediately.

In this video, you'll hear the difference between a regular patrol siren and the Hi-Lo Warning System and get a better understanding for when/why this could be used.
