Sustainable You! Summer Camp

Sustainable YOU

General

The City of Ventura leads the Sustainable You! Summer Camp. The camp, held each summer at University of California Hansen Agricultural Research and Extension Center’s (HAREC), teaches children ages 9-12 about what it means to be sustainable through fun activities based around the five major themes: Land, Water, Food, Air, and Energy. Check out this wonderful video that we shot in summer 2019, highlighting some of the wonderful aspects of this camp!

For summer 2020, we moved the Sustainable You! Summer Camp online. The camp was free and participants received a supply kit, with everything necessary to participate in hands on activities at home.
