NOTICE OF DOCUMENT AVAILABILITY PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS SET FORTH IN THE CITY’S CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN, THE CITY OF SAN BUENAVENTURA WILL PROVIDE 5 DAYS FOR PUBLIC REVIEW AND COMMENT ON THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD). IN ACCORDANCE WITH HUD REGULATIONS, THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN RELEASED FOR PUBLIC REVIEW COMMENCING ON JULY 8, 2020 AND ENDING ON JULY 13, 2020.
- The 2020-2021 Addendum to the 2017 Citizen Participation Plan that supports grant assistance through the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act of 2020;
- The Amended 2019 Annual Funding and Action Plan, which details how CARES Act of 2020 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and CDBG-CV funds be expended during the 2020-2021 fiscal year and details the HUD waivers set forth for the CDBG, CDBG-CV, and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) programs will be utilized under the CARES Act of 2020 guidance;
The primary purpose of the CDBG program is the development of viable communities, decent housing and expanding economic opportunities for persons of low- and moderate-income. The primary purpose of the HOME program is to provide housing opportunities for low-income persons.
Copies of the documents are available for public review commencing July 8, 2020 on the City’s CDBG and HOME webpage online at: https://www.cityofventura.ca.gov/426/CDBG-and-HOME-Programs.

All comments must be made in writing and received no later than July 13, 2020, 5:00 p.m. at the address noted above.
The City Council is anticipated to hold a public hearing regarding adoption of the 2020 Addendum to the Citizen Participation Plan and the Amended 2019 Annual Action Plan on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 6pm or shortly thereafter. The public is encouraged to attend.
