Terms


There are 7 members.  4 members have a 1 year term (April 17, 2017 - April 30, 2018) and 3 members have a 3 year term (April 17, 2017 - April 30, 2020).  When initial terms expire, all future appointments will be for 4 year terms.

(The initial term expired on April 30, 2018.  3 year term members are K. Bokoles, M. Brooks and D. Jaffe)

Purpose


Review the projected revenues and recommended expenditures for the funds generated by Measure O and make recommendations to the City Council on the same as a part of the City’s budget process.

Measure O

On November 8, 2016 voters approved Measure O, a one-half percent (0.50%) transaction and use tax for clean water, beaches, street repair and safety.  In accordance with Ordinance No. 2016-16, the City Council created the Citizen Oversight Committee for review of the projected revenues and recommended expenditures for the funds generated by Measure O and make recommendations to the City Council as part of the City’s budget process.
