ASES: After-School Enrichment & Safety


PEAK & ASES are after-school partnerships that include the City of Ventura Department of Parks & Recreation, Ventura Unified School District and Ventura Police Activities League (PAL). PEAK was formed in 2002 to develop and implement an inclusive after school program for elementary and middle school children serving 570 kids per year. ASES programs began in schools in the fall of 2011. To enroll, please contact your school principal for site specific guidelines.

Our mission is to provide a safe and supervised after school education, enrichment and recreation program for students.

Program Components

Nutritional snack/supper – Junior Chef Program
Academic enrichment and homework provided by experienced staff
Enrichment activities include arts, music, computers, climbing wall and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), sports leagues through Westpark Community Center, games, martial arts, fitness and swim lessons

DATA (DeAnza) Middle School: M-Th 2:30-6 pm; F 12:30-6 pm
Montalvo Elementary: M-Tu-Th-F 2:30-6 pm; W 12:30-6 pm

PEAK Schools & Hours:

E.P. Foster Elementary: M-Tu-Th-F 2:30-5:30 pm; W 12:30-5:30 pm 
Portola Elementary: M-Tu-Th-F 2:30-5:30 pm; W 12:30-5:30 pm
Sheridan Way Elementary: M-Tu-Th-F 2:30-5:30 pm; W 12:30-5:30 pm
Westpark (serving Will Rogers Elementary): M-Tu-Th-F 2:30-5:30 pm; W 12:30-5:30 pm
Lincoln Elementary: M-Th 2:30-5:30 pm; F 12:30-5:30 pm
Elmhurst Elementary: M-Th 2:30-5:30 pm; F 12:15-5:30
